ZAVOD PARK
Magnetic Matrix 3.1
The aim was to create a music/sound control device based on using fluid as the medium for control. The average music control device is made out of square buttons and so the aim was to innovate the concept of a MIDI device.
The authors, Marko Batista and Natasa Musevic used ferrofluid, which can be moved magnets, for the task. The movement of the fluid was tracked with a camera and fluid 'blob detection and tracking' software, programmed by Boris Saletic.
